Richard was admitted as a solicitor in 1974. He spent his first five years in general practice in the West Country before returning to South Wales in 1979. Since then he has specialised in Criminal Law and heads our Crown Court Department.

He is a member of the Neath, Port Talbot and Bridgend Duty Solicitor schemes.

He is also approved by the Legal Services Commission as a Supervisor in Criminal law and is a member of Stage 1 of the Law Society Criminal Litigation Scheme.

He is also a former member of the Funding Review Committee for the South Wales region of the Legal Services Commission.

Richard is also a Past President of the Neath Port Talbot Law Society.
